NUMERAL

Editorial policy

NUMERAL presents calculator methods openly so a reader can trace an answer from the input labels to the formula and example.

How a guide is organized

Each illustrated guide identifies the question, displays the formula, lists reproducible example inputs, shows a calculated result and states a limitation. Its chart changes one input while holding the remaining example inputs constant. Line segments connect sampled calculations; they do not make fractional object counts valid or establish that every point fits a physical model.

Sources and original examples

OpenStax — mathematics and physics learning resources is included as background reading. Sources are references, not endorsements. The displayed arithmetic examples and plots are produced from the stated formulas. No third-party article has been reproduced as a blog post, and no stock photo is presented as evidence of a real project.

AI assistance and review boundaries

This edition was drafted and implemented with AI assistance. The package includes formula checks, worked examples and a record of website validation. Automated checks can catch arithmetic regressions and broken interactions but do not amount to a qualified professional review of every application. Named experts, customer testimonials and personal biographies are not invented.

Numbers and uncertainty

Default values are examples. Display precision is chosen for readability, and long floating-point results may be rounded. Limits, idealizations and measurement conventions are shown beside the relevant tool. A result should be used only after checking that those conventions match the task.

Correction reports

For a suspected formula problem, provide the exact page title, all input values and units, the result you saw and the result you expected. Include a derivation or a primary reference when available. For a writing issue, identify the sentence and explain the proposed correction. The contact page prepares this information without pretending to send it when no inbox is configured.

Publishing practice

Article dates identify this edition's publication date. The site does not claim a previous publishing history or editorial staffing that has not been supplied. Material changes should update the relevant text, example, chart and date together. Advertising and affiliate tracking are not included in this edition.
